What It’s All About

Welcome to The Unlimited Project, a home for people who want to live and tell a better story with their lives. We’re glad you’re here.

What This Is About

The Unlimited Project chronicles our writing on how to live your best story by achieving significant, personal goals while helping others at the same time. In the battle against a boring, cookie cutter life, we focus on three areas: Business, Fitness, and Life.

Each week we write on at least one of those topics, and occasionally we simply profile a good movie, an excellent story, or someone we think is doing great work and living an awesome story. You can follow along by RSS, email updates, or just by checking in here at the site.

More Specifically

  • We write about personal development and life planning, with the belief that you are meant to lead a meaningful life, not an easy one.

  • We write about business strategies from two different perspectives: the old dog and the young pup.

  • We write about fitness and how any person can achieve their goals

Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them”

— Henry David Thoreau

The key theme that links each of these topics is living a great story. “If your life were summarized on a movie poster, what would it say? Would it say you were trying to pay down your mortgage? Would it say you wanted to buy a larger television? There’s nothing morally wrong with wanting any of that stuff, it’s just that it’s the stuff of boring stories,” (Donald Miller). We are focused on pushing our limits and following our dreams in order to live and tell a great story with our lives.

If you’re looking for specific examples of what this means in practice, take a look through the archives. Check it out for a while; you might like it. Or you might not, and that’s OK too.

Our Philosophy

  • You Are Meant To Live A Great Story
  • Life Isn’t Supposed To Be Easy. Life Is Supposed To Be Meaningful
  • If You Don’t Decide For Yourself What You Want To Get Out Of Life, Someone Else Will Probably End Up Deciding For You
  • You Are More Capable Than You Can Imagine

The Reason Why

Greg

1. Spend time with one of my hero’s: Joe

2. I am a former coach…I love to try and help others improve their game, whether it was basketball or sales or raising kids

3. I think I am a writer but this humble me. Some humility is good and it makes me appreciate good writing even more.

4. Inspiration: I love to share best practices I have learned. I also write to let others know that if a hayseed like me can and should stay off of welfare, they can too!

Joe

I graduated college and my life changed. There no longer was a formula of success to follow. I was trying to figure out what to do with my life, how to succeed, and what the future would hold. Sure, I could always follow the predetermined life plan, but what’s the fun in that?

I got tired of that and realized I didn’t want to live a boring life. I didn’t want my life to consist of boring stories. I wanted to live a life where I did extraordinary things. I wanted to do things most people considered impossible or too hard. I wanted to do things that I didn’t think I could. But most importantly, I wanted to start living and telling a great story with my life. Since I started The Unlimited Project with my dad, I’ve started living an awesome story. I’ve traveled, adventured, tried new things, met new people, etc. Life has been more fun, more challenging, and more importantly, more meaningful.
